Executive Jet Management a Star Participant in OSHA’s
Voluntary Protection Program
August 4, 2008 (Cincinnati, OH) -- Executive Jet® Management (EJM), a leading
provider of worldwide private jet charter and aircraft management services, has
been approved as a Star Participant in the Occupational Safety and Health
Administration’s (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).
OSHA created the Voluntary Protection Program in 1982 to recognize and partner
with businesses that show excellence in occupational safety and health. The Star
Program is designed for exemplary worksites with comprehensive, successful
safety and health management systems. Companies in the Star Program have
achieved injury and illness rates at or below the national average of their
respective industries. These sites are self-sufficient in their ability to
control workplace hazards.
Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., Assistant Secretary for Occupational Safety and Health for
the U.S. Department of Labor, wrote Executive Jet Management has “joined an
elite group of facilities that provide exemplary safety and health protection”
in a letter to Benjamin J. Murray, CEO and President of Executive Jet
Management. “Designation as a VPP Star participant is testament to sustained
excellence in all areas of your safety and health management system”, wrote
Foulke.
Murray said, “Being recognized by OSHA affirms the emphasis we place on high
quality safety and health management standards for all our employees and at all
of our facilities. We are very proud to be recognized by OSHA.”
